I tried to pick projects that all looked a little more sophisticated than more typical kid's crafts, but I assure you these can easily be made by children (with adult help and supervision of course.)
Moms will gush in appreciation no matter what the final product looks like. But sometimes it's nice to try to aim a little high and try to get the kiddos to create something worthy of display and maybe even something that's useful!
All the supplies you'd need for these projects can likely be found locally at a Dollar Store, Michael's, thrift store, or Joann's. A lot of materials you probably have on hand already. But I've included some relevant links in case it's easier to wait for 2 day shipping than to get out to the store. Which let's be honest, happens more often than not.
If you also need a card to accompany these DIY Mother's Day gifts, here's a cute selection of 15 Printable Mother's Day Cards.

Let the kids paint the egg carton in whatever colours they want and create the flower centers with beads, pom poms or other craft materials you'd like them to use up!
I would hang this cutie up in my entryway year-round!
2. Tissue Confetti Vase
Easily made with a thrift store vase and a selection of tissue papers from the collection I know we all have. (Unless I'm the only person hoarding sheets of tissue paper from every party we've ever attended?!)
3. Kitty Bookmark
This is so cute, my son would totally make this for himself and give me a coupon for a hug instead! haha! But to be fair, he does give the best hugs.
